Dr. Derrick Haslem

Director of Medical Oncology and Medical Director Intermountain Precision Genomics

Dr. Derrick Haslem is the director of medical oncology at Intermountain and medical director of Intermountain Precision Genomics, a board-certified specialist in internal medicine and medical oncology with expertise in targeted therapy and breast cancer. Dr. Haslem provides care for cancer patients at Intermountain Healthcare’s Cancer Centers in St. George, IMED and Logan as well as via telehealth at Logan, IMED, Sevier, Cassia, Teton Valley, Idaho, and soon Star Valley, Wyoming.

As the director of cancer care in Southern Utah, he has assembled an outstanding team of cancer providers and established the Cancer Genomics program. By all accounts, Intermountain Southwest Cancer Center was the first institution to succeed at establishing a personalized, genomic-based oncology program within an integrated delivery system.

Dr. Haslem received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and an oncology fellowship at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr. Haslem is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology. He and his wife, Amy, have five children and reside in St. George, Utah.
