Judy Donovan has over 25 years of public health and health care leadership experience. She joined Kona Community Hospital as the regional Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning of the West Hawaii Region of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation in 2012. She oversees development and implementation of strategic and marketing initiatives for the Region’s four facilities. Judy is currently involved in a large-scale collaboration to create an integrated, community-based health care model to increase the West Hawaii populations’ access to primary and specialty providers. Recently, Judy accepted directorship of Kona Community Hospital’s Dietary Services. In this role, she is overseeing an innovative project to bring improved efficiencies and healthier food offerings to the hospital’s dietary services. Judy discovered her passion for healthcare as a Field Manager on a major national research program, where she worked for 14 years. This unique project was conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics to assess the health and nutrition status of the U.S. population.
