Margo Karsten joined Banner Health as chief executive officer for Banner Fort Collins Medical Center, McKee Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center in 2016. She became president of the Western Region in 2018. She provides overall leadership for three hospitals in the northern Front Range and oversees an additional 11 acute and critical access hospitals in six states.
Over the past 20 years she has held leadership roles at hospitals in Colorado and Wyoming.

She is active in many community boards which include: North Colorado Economic Alliance, Weld County United Way, Greeley Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Hospital Association.
Margo has a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing administration and a doctorate in organizational development. She is a proud mother to two grown sons and a high-school aged daughter.
