Yissel Barajas is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Reiter Affiliated Companies. She currently leads the Talent, Culture and Leadership strategies for the organization and was responsible for the launch of Sembrando Salud in 2009, a work-based initiative designed to prevent obesity and diabetes among the farmworker community. As the daughter of farmworkers, she has a personal commitment to health, housing, and other issues impacting the quality of life for farmworkers. Yissel holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA, and is an alumni of Class 40 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
